At the AmerindNew Exhibit – Our People, Our Places, Our Images: International Indigenous PhotographersThe exhibit grew out of a seminar of indigenous photographers, organized by Hulleah Tsinhahjinnie, director of the C.N.Gorman Museum at the University of California, Davis. The photographs were self-selected by seminar participants, and the exhibit was curated by Veronica Passalacqua, also of the C.N. Gorman Museum. The exhibit celebrates the ability of Native photographers to "image" their own lives and communities. It has traveled to the Burke Museum in Seattle and the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, and will be at the Amerind at least until mid January 2009.For a look at our upcoming events click here. Most exciting news – this new web site and online buying opportunities!Check back often!
