Victory for Aber Rider
Student, Bea Meitiner, (right) won the
overall individual gold, and
also overall team gold at the recent Student Riding Nations
Cup (SRNC) competition in Germany.
Bea was selected for
the GB squad last summer. She has taken part in two
Nations Cup competitions, both of which resulted in team gold. Her next
aim is the World University Equestrian Championships. "It has just been an amazing
experience, I would never have been able to do it without
the support of my sponsors: CelticEquestrian, Morgan Jones
Horse Boxes and WilbyDry Jodhpurs. Even more important
has been the support of the University, especially Lluest
Equine Centre, who have put a lot of effort into improving
my riding and getting me ready for the event. Thank you!"
The
Riding Club
was recently awarded
Aberystwyth
University Club of the Year,
and Bea was named
Sports Person of the Year.
Aberystwyth
'B' Team (one of two competing Riding Club teams) also won
bronze
overall
at the National Finals of the Inter-University BUSA League.
