Born to Be Wild - Adventures in the Art of Motorcycle
Design - October 3, 2008 through
January 4, 2009. For nearly a century, the motorcycle has been an
icon for innovation in design and engineering. This exhibition will
examine the art of the motorcycle through the lens of classic motorcycle
design, new directions in custom designs, and choppers. A section
of the exhibition will be devoted to some of the best examples of

In preparation for the opening of our new Works on Paper Gallery (September
2008), and to provide a safer environment for our art collection storage,
several galleries are closed during renovations. Additional galleries
will also be temporarily closed during preparation for the upcoming
Born to be Wild exhibition. For that reason, a $2 discount
on admission prices will be offered from September 8 until October 2,
