CALDWELL WOMEN'S SOCCER BEGINS SEASON WITH LOSS
TO AIC
Aug.
29, 2008 - The Caldwell College women's soccer team lost to American
International College, 5-0 in the AIC Tournament Friday afternoon at AIC
Park. The game marked the 2008 season opener for the Cougars, who were 5-14

RHENOSTER'S TALLY LIFTS COUGARS PAST ST. ANSELM
IN SEASON OPENER
Aug.
28, 2008 - A goal by senior defender Kagiso Rhenoster (Mafikeng,
South Africa/Mmbatho) in the 74th minute broke a 1-1 tie and allowed the
Caldwell College men's soccer team to defeat St. Anselm College, 2-1 in the
first game of the Southern New Hampshire Tournament Thursday afternoon at
St. Anselm's Melucci Field. The non-conference game was the 2008

WOMEN'S TENNIS CHOSEN SEVENTH IN CACC PRESEASON
POLL
Aug.
26, 2008 - The Caldwell College women's tennis squad was ranked seventh
in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, the league
announced. Holy Family University was the unanimous choice to capture its
third straight CACC crown, garnering all eight first-place votes in the

COUGAR VOLLEYBALL PICKED TO FINISH SIXTH IN CACC

Aug.
26, 2008 - The Caldwell College volleyball team is predicted to finish
sixth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division,
according to the CACC Preseason Volleyball Poll. The Cougars received a
total of 31 points in the poll, which was conducted by the conference's 13

CALDWELL ADDS WINKLER TO STAFF AS
ATHLETIC TRAINER
Aug.
19, 2008 - Paul Winkler has been hired as an athletic trainer for
the Caldwell College Athletic Department, the College announced today.
Winkler joins Saori Ishikawa
as athletic trainers for Caldwell's 11 intercollegiate athletics programs,
which compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference at the NCAA

SHIFFLER NAMED WOMEN'S SOCCER
ASSISTANT COACH
Aug.
15, 2008 - The Caldwell College women's soccer team has added Abby
Shiffler to the coaching staff as an assistant coach. Shiffler, a former
standout goalkeeper at Monmouth University, will assist head coach Nate
Guagliardi with the Cougars' goalkeepers and defense for the upcoming

SOCCER PICKED SIXTH IN CACC PRESEASON POLL
Aug.
14, 2008 - The Caldwell College women's soccer team was predicted to
finish sixth this season by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference 2008
Preseason Poll, the league announced. The poll has the Cougars, coached by
Nate Guagliardi, moving up one spot from last year’s seventh-place
finish. Defending CACC champion Holy Family University is the favorite after
receiving seven first-place votes in the poll, which was voted on by the
conference’s 12 head coaches. (more)

13, 2008 - Saori Ishikawa has been named an athletic
trainer for the Caldwell College Athletic Department, the College announced
today. Ishikawa comes to Caldwell from Bridgewater (Mass.) State College,

SOCCER SELECTED THIRD IN CACC PRESEASON POLL

12, 2008 - The Caldwell College men's soccer team was picked to finish
third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's 2008 Preseason Poll,
released today. The Cougars, who took third in the conference last season
after posting a 6-1-2 mark, received 89 points in the poll conducted by the
league's 11 head coaches to rank behind Wilmington University and Dominican

CACC ANNOUNCES ADDITION OF MEN'S
TENNIS, WOMEN'S LACROSSE

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) will add women’s lacrosse
and men’s tennis to its list of sponsored sports in 2008-09, according to an
announcement by Commissioner Dan Mara. The inaugural championship
tournaments for both sports will be held in April of 2009. With the addition
of men's tennis, all 11 of Caldwell College's intercollegiate sports are
affiliated with the CACC. (more)

Caldwell College men’s soccer player Nicholas
Harriott (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Campion) has been chosen the Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year, along with
women's cross country runner Joy Aifuwa of the University of the Sciences,
CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. Harriott and Aifuwa are now
eligible for the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association
national scholar-athlete award. (more)

Caldwell College golf coach Mike Andrusin announced his recruiting
class for the upcoming 2008-09 scholastic year. The four student-athletes
who will be joining the Cougar golf program are Nate Cleary (Johnson
City, NY/Johnson City), Daniel Garcia (Guadalajara, Mexico/German
School), Randy Kurzinsky (Barnesville, PA/Dr. Phillips) and Kyle

The Caldwell College volleyball team will welcome four student-athletes to
the program this fall, head coach Megan Hrbek announced. The incoming
group includes middle blocker Titilola Alao of Ossining, N.Y.,
outside hitter Elise Lennon of Secaucus, N.J., right side hitter
Amber Mosher of Flanders, N.J., and setter Lauren Roth of
Findlay, Ohio. They will join 10 returning players from last year's squad
that went 4-24 in its second season of intercollegiate play. (more)

CALDWELL COLLEGE DEAN'S LIST FOR SPRING SEMESTER

Caldwell College student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom, as 50
student-athletes were named to the Dean's List for the 2008 spring semester.
Caldwell College requires a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for the
semester to be included on the Dean’s List, not an easy task for students
who must balance their studies with the commitment it takes to be a part of
an intercollegiate athletic program. (more)

Fourteen student-athletes will be joining the Caldwell College women’s
soccer team for the fall of 2008, coach Nate Guagliardi announced.
The recruiting class, which includes three transfer students and 11 incoming
freshmen, will bolster the Cougars’ roster that returns just five players

MURPHY SIGNS WITH NEW JERSEY JACKALS

Former Caldwell College baseball standout Tommy Murphy (Monroe,
NY/Washingtonville) has signed a professional contract to play for the New
Jersey Jackals of the independent Can-Am League. Murphy, who graduated from
Caldwell this past May after a stellar career for the Cougars, will be in
uniform for the first time tonight when the Jackals take on the Brockton Rox in
Brockton, Mass. (more)
