Students studying for a master's degree in Museum Exibition, Planning and Design also explore exhibit programming, evaluation, and management methods applicable in a wide range of museum situations.What is the program comprised of?• Two-year, 60-credit program• First year: Introduction to the exhibition process; conceptual development; planning, systems; intellectual analysis of problems; practical implementation of concepts, materials and methods• Second year: Practice skills learned the first year• Thesis project• Internship• Formal study visits to design departments, production shops, galleries, exhibits, and programs in numerous museums, service providers, and consultancies.What are the program’s admission requirements?• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, graphic, interior, or architectural design• An acceptable level of professional accomplishment through a portfolio or another appropriate means. • Students from non-design, non-art backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.What facilities are available?• Computer-aided design center • The academic computing laboratories dedicated to drafting, rendering, desktop publishing, computer-aided graphic design, multimedia, and illustration• University galleries where you’ll gain installation experienceDoes UArts have partnerships with museums?Yes.
