WELCOME
World
Families is a nonprofit educational organization providing
international exchange and cultural education programs for children,
youth, and families. We are based in Washington State, USA. We are not
affiliated with any
religious organization.

WORLD FAMILIES PROVIDES
Program
management for incoming and outgoing educational group travel
Homestay

Cultural
education, after school, and summer programs for children and youth.
EXCHANGE PROGRAM FOR GROUPS AND
ORGANIZATIONS WORLDWIDE
World
Families' educational programs are custom-designed to meet the needs of
interested organizations and groups around the world. These
include
organized youth groups, schools, churches, sports groups, civic groups,
etc. traveling to or from the US. We have the knowledge and
experience
to make it easy for your organization or group to include an
international exchange as part of your overall program.

FAMILY INTERNATIONAL
EXPERIENCES
The
focus of our programs is on the family. Our programs typically
include
a
homestay, which allows members of the traveling groups to become part
of a family unit in another culture. Both in the US and abroad,
interested families have the opportunity to invite one of a group of
international delegates to experience their family life for a short
time. This is a great way families can reap the benefits of an
international educational exchange without leaving home.
Many
young people, whose families have hosted an international delegate
through World Families, travel with one of our chaperoned groups to
visit their friend on our short homestay abroad program.
By
discovering another culture through family life, both the hosting
families and the international youth participants can increase
understanding of their responsibility and role in their own families,
communities, and world.
AFTER SCHOOL
AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
World
Families provides
after-school and community enrichment programs for youth and families. Our goal is to help develop skills and
understanding
essential for us to
live together more peacefully.
Our
innovative,
educational programs utilize parent and community volunteers. Character
building
activities are incorporated to help to better know ourselves and to
develop
skills such as leadership, communication, collaboration,
decision-making, civic
responsibility and critical thinking.
To
foster awareness of the
rich cultural diversity of the World Family, we provide learn-by-doing
projects
involving the arts, customs, and languages of other people in the local
community and around the world.
Working
collaboratively with schools and community leadership, we can modify
and
coordinate the programs to meet unique needs of area youth and families.
